Wing It – This is the method where you go out on your own. You pick up little bits and pieces of the puzzle from whatever sources you can muster and try to put together a comprehensive plan on your own.

The downside of this method is that it can take a very long time since you have no direction and nobody to guide you along the way. You’re depending solely on your research skills and perseverance.

The upside of this method is that you will learn more, mostly through your own mistakes, than with any other method around. By the time you actually get to the point where you have your act together, you’ve not only got a solid foundation, but you’ve got the benefit of the knowledge of all the things that don’t bring results. This makes your knowledge invaluable to others.

This is the way I went about things. I did it all by trial and error and as a result, know more about Internet marketing than most. It did take a long time though.

Step By Step – This is where somebody lays out a specific method or plan for you to follow. It is a method or plan that has proven to work and all you have to do is follow the steps and do the work.

The upside to this method is that you get into profit faster than with any other method because you’re not making all the mistakes that people make when they start their own business from scratch.

The downside to this method is that you don’t learn as much. Your knowledge is limited to the method itself and if you were to try to start a different business model, most likely, you wouldn’t be able to.

So as you can see, both methods have their pluses and minuses. You have to choose the one that is best for you.
