A lot of people who have lost their jobs lately are looking for work at home options so that they can make money anywhere. They need to be able to care for their children and home as well as continue bringing in an income in an economy where there are few jobs.
Fortunately, there are a handful of online resources, including us here at the Work at Home Blog, that give honest advice to help people who are looking for make money anywhere options.
Here are a few of my best work at home ideas:
1. Project Payday is always a feasible make money from anywhere choice if you need to make a little bit of money quickly. It’s free to sign up and if you work at it a few hours a day, you can realistically earn a couple hundred dollars per day.
2. Develop some sort of digital product such as an e-book or software and sell it on places like eBay, Plimus, Clickbank, CJ, Lulu Self-Publishing, etc. If you create an affiliate program, you can attract vendors who will help to sell your e-product. Since the item is electronic, this is an ideal way to make money anywhere in the world!
3. Join other make money anywhere affiliate programs from CJ or Clickbank that are relevant to any websites or blogs that you own and promote them to your readers/search engine traffic.
4. Make Adsense blogs with helpful content that target narrow niches so you can easily rank on page one of the search engines when people look up those keywords! This is also a great way to make money anywhere! I personally utilize this one all the time myself!
Don’t wait for your unemployment benefits to run out. Start one or all of these “make money anywhere” methods today so that making money online can become a reality for you. Then, even when the economy improves, you won’t need to get a job unless you want to!

I’m amazed at how many people think it’s not possible to make money online legitimately. I, and all the other authors on this blog, are living proof that it is indeed possible to work at home or make a living online. With the common knowledge that most internet marketers put out there nowadays, it’s no wonder most people think that it’s impossible to make money online! Most of the “guru” tips are horrible and lead us nowhere fast.
Here at the Work at Home Based Business Blog, that isn’t the case. You have a team of full-time internet marketers who know the ropes of the make money online game – and know it well! We are here to tell you that if you know the right strategy and have the tenacity to implement this strategy, you will succeed at working from home (or anywhere for that matter!)
So what are those strategies? I advise you to pay close attention to what we do just as much as you do to what we say. Let our actions guide you. Making money on the internet is not hard, but it’s also not simple. You must be consistent and do a little each day toward your goals. Some background to basic strategies in an online money making guide will be of help to you. Rather than Googling terms related to making money online all day and getting your head spinning from information overload, an “organized, no nonsense” guide with all you need to know to get started is now available. It is all you need to start making money online. You really can make money at home – it’s all up to you!

When it comes to networking on Twitter, what turns you off?
Besides the obvious spam, for me it’s the constant self-promotion. The second turn off is a person can offer the best tips, the best resources and the best information, but it’s all useless to me if they don’t engage with me.
Twitter is a popular social networking site that can be so powerful and so beneficial when it’s done the right way.
Here’s what you should do:
1. Use your real name, real photo of you, fill out your bio and add a website link if you have one.
2. It’s polite to acknowledge your followers. Send a brief direct message. No spam links.
3. It’s not a number’s game; follow people who interest you.
4. Share your knowledge, thoughts, opinions. Ask questions to open doors for responsive communication. Reply to questions you can answer. You never know where these conversations can lead.
5. Pay it forward. Help others grow their business as they will also help you. Read tweets and then retweet what inspires you, what you think your followers would appreciate reading and learning.
6. Self-promote, but not-in-your-face-shoved-down-your-throat tactic. Offer other things in between the self-promotion. You can also repeat your own tweets, but wait at least an hour between your repeats.
7. Space out your tweets. You don’t want a whole wall of your tweets on someone else’s page.
8. Be genuine, be yourself, and be consistent. Hardly anything done now and then is effective.
Use these Twitter tips to become a better networker and grow your business every day.
To your success,

Work At Home Jobs
Work At Home Business Options
When you first make the decision to work at home, it’s not a decision that should ever be taken lightly. Rushing in headlong without due consideration can and almost always does end up in the person regretting it deeply. The saying, “Fools rush in where angels fear to tread” is so very poignant when related to the work at home business. So here are one or two home truths about working at home.
Plenty of thought and preparation should go into it if you already have a regular job that you want to get out of for whatever reason. Of course, if you are facing imminent redundancy or have just been given the sack from your job, your options are considerably fewer and you may see working at home on your computer as a financial lifeline. But beware, things are not always what they appear to be.
First you have to consider whether you want to be working at home as a job, where you will take on work from other people for which you (hopefully) will be paid, or whether you want to run your own business, where you will sell your own, or other people’s product(s) via a website or blog.
Even then, you are faced with a sea full of sharks that are waiting to eat you as soon as you dip your toe in.
Learning to sift through the mountain of scam artists and out and out thieves that exist online is no mean feat and it often takes being burned at least once before many people get the message. Few get through unscathed, although when they realize that the road they have embarked upon is very long and very hard, many fall by the wayside.
Having said that, working from home is not all doom and gloom. There are opportunities that exist online where you can earn a decent living if you’re prepared to put in the hours and the work, although you’ll wonder where the day goes after many hours at the computer. There are several tried and tested methods of making money online that you can try, but be warned that if you need money fast, being a newbie on the Internet is not the way to do it. You will starve before you make any money.
That’s a harsh truth to hear, but you need to hear it all the same.
Never fall into the trap of trying out any of the hyped up ads that promise you’ll make several thousand dollars in a few weeks. They are lies. Don’t waste your money buying this or that ebook that tries to tell you how to make money online. The vast majority of them will not help you and just about all of the information can be found for free online with some research and tenacity.
Which leads me onto the last of the home truths about working at home. To succeed, you need certain qualities of character that will help you along the way.
Good luck, because you’ll need it!
You made the decision to telecommute from an home office. Now what? How do you get started?
Follow these four important steps and be prepared for what lies ahead in finding a telecommuting job.
1. Resume
A telecommuting resume is different than your regular type resume. Your resume is your “second” impression; it’s your ticket to getting a job so make it stand out and get noticed!
It is important to include a job objective because this is the first thing a telecommuting employer will see and read. This is a simple paragraph summarizing what you want in a job and what you can offer to the company. Again, add some pizzazz to it.
Highlight your independence, skills and work experience. Volunteer work also counts, so include these as well. If you’ve done telecommuting before, let them know! This will show them you are experienced and it will give them a sense of comfort. Let them know of your accomplishments and special skills. These attributes can be the deciding factor between you and someone else.
Make sure your resume looks professional, uncluttered and only contain pertinent information pertaining to the job you’re applying for. Sloppiness, incomplete and missing information directly reflects who you are. Take the time to proofread or have someone proofread your resume and cover letter for spelling errors, grammar, clarity and so forth.
2. Cover Letter
A telecommuting cover letter is just as important as a resume and it should be customized to each job you’re applying for. Generic cover letters don’t work and will never be seen by the employer.
A quality cover letter is your gateway; your first impression. Stress why you are perfect for the position and how you would be an asset to their company. You can use a particular experience related to the position you’re applying for to market yourself. If you have a stellar cover letter and is backed by a stellar resume, your chance of gaining a telecommuting job has just increased.
3. Research
Researching a company is important in deciding whether it’s a company you would like to work for. The Internet is a free research portal; as with many various work at home blogs and forums where specific companies legitimate and non-legitimate companies are sometimes discussed at great lengths.
4. Consistence, Persistence and Perseverance
Consistency, persistency and perseverance are key contributing factors in finding a telecommuting job. It won’t be easy and it will take a lot of hard work and effort.
Apply, apply, apply and then do follow ups if you haven’t received any response within two weeks or so. Pursue and research every un-researched job lead you’re interested in and don’t get discouraged. Re-evaluate your job search if you haven’t found employment within a reasonable time, but also give it time.
These four steps are crucial to your telecommuting job search so be sure to follow them to ensure the best possible outcome.
